Rescue is far from easy. It is full of both joy and heartbreak. Heartbreak as to what the animals have endured to that point, in addition to injuries they may have sustained along the way... but then there is the joy. The joy of watching them blossom and flourish after some much needed vet care, food and plenty of love. It is a lot of hard work, sweat, time and definitely some tears. There are vet bills, feed bills (which for emaciated animals can be quite high, as they need a large amount of feed with proper nutrition), farrier, dental work, transport and quarantine bills (if animals are coming from another state out of kill pens).
